Whether your raw water pump is out in the open or buried in a corner, you need a puller that fits the space and does the job without prying, slipping, or damaging what's around it. The ImpelPro Standard is a compact, bearing-driven impeller removal tool built for inboard marine engines in tight spaces. Its bearing-controlled extraction system and piercing teeth grip flexible-vane impellers securely and pull them out in a controlled motion, protecting the pump housing and shaft in the process. Sized for the most common service jobs, it fits impellers from 1-9/16" to 2-9/16", covering sailboats, marine generators, and boats with cramped engine compartments. Built from aluminum alloy and 316L stainless steel, it's light, corrosion-resistant, and designed for confident one-handed use. For inboard engines only. Review the spec chart and measure your available space before ordering.

More about ImpelPro Impeller Pullers

Compact doesn't mean compromise. The ImpelPro Standard was engineered to be the lowest-profile impeller removal tool you can rely on when space is tight and precision matters. Most engine rooms don't give you much room to work, and most impeller pullers weren't designed with that in mind. Tools that wobble, slip off under load, or need two hands to control — they weren't built by someone who actually works in engine rooms. The ImpelPro Standard was.

The bearing-driven design does most of the work. Wind the nut down against the shaft and the bearing takes over, smooth and controlled, without brute force. The piercing teeth lock onto the impeller before you start pulling, so the tool stays seated through the full extraction. One hand, tight space, stuck impeller.

Designed by a professional marine mechanic with 15 years working in real engine rooms on tugboats and yachts.

Key Features

  • Compact, one-hand design – ideal for tight inboard spaces
  • Bearing-driven system – smooth, controlled extraction
  • Piercing teeth – secure grip on flexible-vane impellers
  • Marine-grade build – 316L stainless + aluminum alloy resists corrosion

DIY & professional use – saves time and reduces risk of damage

How ImpelPro Is Different

While ImpelPro may look similar at first glance, it works differently. ImpelPro's bearing-driven design winds the impeller out in a controlled motion, reducing effort and protecting surrounding components. Combined with piercing teeth that lock in securely, the more you wind down the threaded rod against the shaft, the bearing does the heavy lifting so you don't have to.
